December 7, 2011 - Cairo, Egypt - Jars filled with the body fat removed after an egyptian plastic surgeon performs an abdominal liposuction procedure on a male patient with obesity in an operating room in Cairo. The patient is a 41 year old Egyptian who weighs 202 pounds and is 164 centimeters tall with a BMI 34. Doctor Wilson removes about 7 liters of fat. Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity. It is not reasonable to use liposuction as a surgical technique for weight loss because of health risks. Photo credit: Benedicte Desrus
