2011 - Juba, Republic of South Sudan - Lushi Rashid (R), a 29 year old muslim South Sudanese woman, breast feeds her new born baby boy at her family home with the help of Regabia Ahmad (L), a qualified birth attendant, in Juba, the capital city of South Sudan. Regabia has been delivering babies in South Sudan for over twenty years. she was trained by the health ministry and works at a local primary health clinic. With fewer than 100 trained midwives for a population of over eight million, South Sudan has the highest maternal mortality rate in the world.  One in seven South Sudanese women is likely to die because of complications from delivery. Just 10 per cent of South Sudanese women have access to medical professionals during childbirth.
